Wipro Reports Increase of AI Adoption in Cybersecurity

Home grown tech player Wipro has announced its annual ‘State of Cybersecurity Report (SOCR)’ that sheds light on the changing landscape of global cybersecurity scenario. The report talks about the way Artificial Intelligence (AI) being leveraged as a part of defender stratagems, since more organizations are now against sophisticated cyberattacks and have become more resilient.

According to the findings, around 49 percent of the worldwide cybersecurity related patents filed in the last four years are focused on AI and Machine Learning (ML) application. The report also says that nearly half the organizations are expanding

cognitive detection capabilities to tackle unknown attacks in their Security Operations Center (SOC). 87 percent of the surveyed organizations are keen on implementing zero trust architecture and the same number of them are planning to scale up secure cloud migration.

The report has also divulged that around 83 percent of healthcare organizations have highlighted maintaining endpoint cyber hygiene as a challenge

Furthermore, the report has also divulged that around 83 percent of healthcare organizations have highlighted maintaining endpoint cyber hygiene as a challenge, while 71 percent of them have highlighted that breaches reported by peers has led to increased security budget allocation. When it comes to manufacturing, 58 percent of the surveyed organizations stated that they are not confident about preventing risks from supply chain providers.
