Writer Corporation Ropes in Ajay Bharwani as Group CIO

Writer Corporation, one of the market leaders for global relocations in India, has appointed Ajay Bharwani, Global Head - IT & Technical Applications, Lupin as its Group CIO & Head - Digital Transformation.

Ajay will be based out of Mumbai and report to the organization’s Chief Corporate Services Officer. In the new role, he will be accountable for leading the group’s technology function. The IT leads of the group’s various divisions will be reporting to him.

Ajay has more than 29 years of professional experience and has worked with companies like Lupin, Ernst & Young, SAP, PwC, and L&T Infotech in the past. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Mumbai.

Writer Corporation is a multi-business enterprise that engages itself in the territories of global replacements, information management, cash management, and realty. The Mumbai headquartered organization has close to 10,000 employees. Writer Corporation ventured into the area of premium properties in 1999. The company’s commercial properties are custom built to the individual requirements of specific industries. It includes office complexes, warehouses and commercial complexes.

Ajay states, “I would be responsible for creating a roadmap for adaptation and implementation of technologies aligned with business strategy and operations; Mapping end-to-end user journeys to understand digital touchpoints and delivering IT solutions in ERP, CRM, Customer Portals, Mobile Apps, AR/VR & Chatbots; Driving change management & adoption programs for new projects.”

The move to rope in a CEO reflects highly on leveraging the new market opportunities in the segment. According to a Colliers International report, the commercial real estate industry in India has witnessed an increase in leasing activity from 41.6 million square feet to 58.6 million square feet at a CAGR of 12 percent over the past three years.
