CIO Insider recently got in touch with the man at the helm of its India operations Alex George, who is a seasoned entrepreneur with more than two decades of professional experience in the technology industry. Alex walks us through the latest endeavors of the company.

Where is Riverbed Technology positioned in the current Computer Software market in India?
Riverbed has been operating in India for over a decade now, working with most of the country’s top corporates which includes SBI Group, ICICI Bank, L&T group, Aditya Birla group, Lupin pharma, and Govt. institutions to name a few of our key customers.

We are very excited about the new horizon that has dawned upon us. It is digital-first and hybrid by design with cloud, SaaS and legacy technologies working together and employees collaborating and engaging with customers anywhere, anytime on any device.

Our vision is to deliver actionable insights that extend from the technology infrastructure through the network all the way to the customer to protect and extract the value behind every click. To help customers in India maximize this transition, we’re hyper focused on bringing unique value in two critical areas Network Performance and Acceleration and End-to-End Application aware Network Visibility(AaNPM) along with End User Experience Management (EUEM).

tions and which among them does the company consider as its flagship offering?
Riverbed enables organizations to maximize visibility and performance across networks, applications and end user devices, so they can fully capitalize on their cloud and digital investments. Customers in India are particularly interested in Riverbed’s two best-in-class product lines:(i)End-to-end visibility, including NPM, APM and EUEM, that delivers actionable insights(ii) Network and acceleration solutions, including application acceleration(SaaS client and cloud acceleration), WAN optimization, and enterprise grade SD-WAN.

What is the technology framework embedded into each of these solutions? What are the innovations and technology trends that we are looking at?
We’re advocates of system and data democratization. Today we provide actionable insights and performance solutions that inform, accelerate and protect the digital enterprise. Our unified visibility solutions capture every single transaction without sampling and transform fulfidelity DEM and NPM data into actionable insights for more effective decision making and faster MTTR. And with market leading acceleration technologies that ensure fast and reliable delivery of any application over any network, end-users get the seamless digital experience they expect.

We are working towards delivering actionable insights via a new Unified Observ ability Platform that is built on cloud and driven by a whole SaaS approach. It will have a common UI, centralized integrations and centralized management of the platform, which is the innovation we are bringing to the platform. It can apply AI and ML through the platform and ensure rapid problem isolation & identification and can integrate with third party ecosystems as

well.

We will be rolling out these tools gradually over the next year. The beauty of this approach is that if you're an existing Riverbed customer and you've made a substantial investment in our tools, every thing layers on top of those tools, so that the investment doesn’t become obsolete.

We’ll provide the ability to layer on additional capabilities and tools to help customers deliver better experiences across the entire network whether it's on prem in the cloud or work from home.

We recently made a strategic decision to bring more closely together the best-in-breed assets of Riverbed and Aternity (previously a division of Riverbed) to provide our customers with the most comprehensive end-to-end visibility solution in the industry.

This is powerful and brings together full fidelity visibility that will enable us to deliver unified observ ability of an organization’s entire digital ecosystem, including applications, network servers, cloud & edge devices.
