Ashwini Vaishnaw in Visakhapatnam for Google Data Centre Event
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw made his way to Visakhapatnam to partake in the inaugural event for the Google AI Data Center's foundation stone laying at Tarluvada, located in the Anandapuram mandal.
Minister Nara Lokesh, along with other representatives from the Telugu Desam Party, extended a warm welcome to Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw upon his arrival at Visakhapatnam Airport.

The Honorable State Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, will additionally partake in the groundbreaking ceremony.
In the evening, Minister Nara Lokesh is scheduled to attend the Bharat AI Shakti Conclave taking place at Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach.
The Andhra Pradesh Information & Public Relations (AP I&PR) Department's states that Google is set to allocate an investment of $15 billion to this project, positioning it as one of the most significant Foreign Direct Investments ever recorded in the history of India.
The artificial intelligence data center is set to feature a capacity of 1 Gigawatt. This initiative has been made feasible by the coalition government's proactive stance on expediting business operations to lure substantial investments.

Moreover, it is expected that information technology startups, research institutions, cloud service providers, and semiconductor organizations will initiate their operations in this area.
Organizations like AdaniConneX and Airtel Nxtra are collaborating on this initiative. The government's strategic objective is to establish a multi-gigawatt digital hub that will ultimately possess a cumulative capacity of 6.5 gigawatts throughout the state.
In addition to enhancing infrastructure, the Google Data Center is anticipated to create a substantial number of employment opportunities. It is likely that thousands of positions will be generated in fields including Artificial Intelligence, cloud operations, maintenance, cybersecurity, cloud architecture, and data science.

The revenue produced by these data centers will further bolster the state’s economic strength. The initiative is anticipated to draw investments in related sectors such as energy systems, cooling technologies, server production, and networking. This will contribute to establishing a strong AI ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh.
Google's cloud services powered by artificial intelligence are anticipated to elevate Visakhapatnam as a significant technology nucleus within Asia. Furthermore, enterprises that leverage AI technology are projected to select this city as a prime location.
Moreover, it is expected that information technology startups, research institutions, cloud service providers, and semiconductor organizations will initiate their operations in this area.
