Amazon Web Services (AWS) India and EkStep Foundation, a Bangalore-based non-profit organization have joined hands to create public service delivery namely digital public goods (DPGs) and digital public infrastructures (DPIs) in their established Joint Innovation Center (JIC).

JIC aims to aid government agencies over creating digitally inclusive economies by helping private and public sector organizations to develop digital solutions for mass use.

DPG is already known for serving over 110 through a Modular Open Source Identity Platform (MOSIP), which was built for providing reliable fundamental identifications and is in various levels of implementation across 17 nations.

MOSIP deploys AWS for development and pilot environments to enable quick deployment and scalability.

Through JIC, EkStep and AWS plan to use its platform to unite important parties together.

Among these stakeholders include DPG/DPI owners and developers, as well as startups, system integrators, and independent software vendors (SIs). Adopters and implementers include governments, international organizations, and businesses in the private sector.

AWS is expected to look into showcasing DPGs on the AWS Marketplace, offering a global platform to exhibit and disseminate the solutions.

AWS intends to investigate the possibility of showcasing the DPGs and DPIs on the Open Government Solutions Catalog. This platform furnishes governmental entities with essential resources, including digital solutions, policies, and standards, allowing them to examine and repurpose established methods for digital transformation.

The goal of the philanthropic EkStep Foundation, which was started by Nandan, Rohini, and Shankar Maruwada, is to use technology to create public goods that may benefit a large community.

An open-source, modular, and adaptable digital infrastructure called Sunbird from EkStep can assist businesses in scaling the way they provide services to users.
