Emversity Secures $30 Million in Funding Round
Emversity, an employability platform that integrates higher education training, has secured $30 million (approximately Rs 271 crore) in a Series A funding round led by Premji Invest, with contributions from existing investors Lightspeed and Z47.
The funds will be utilized to enhance Emversity's university collaborations, broaden into new training areas, and strengthen employer-related workforce pathways in industries experiencing shortages of skilled talent.
Emversity's CEO and founder, Vivek Sinha, informed Moneycontrol that the company's primary focus is on expanding campuses and maintaining disciplined execution. "We are now active on over 40 campuses, and this funding allows us to significantly expand that model while ensuring consistent outcomes," he stated.
Established in 2023, Emversity collaborates with higher-education institutions to integrate industry-focused curriculum, practical training, apprenticeships, and job placement assistance directly into degree programs. Simultaneously, it collaborates with employers to establish job-ready skill criteria and jointly develop workforce pathways.

The organization also manages specialized skill centers in partnership with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), enabling it to conduct both university-integrated programs and brief training courses, especially in healthcare and hospitality.
Sinha stated that the company's strategy begins with the needs of employers instead of the availability of students. "We create programs collaboratively."
