
GSIDC Sanction Rs 149 Crore Infrastructure Project

The Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) sanctioned infrastructure projects totaling Rs 149 crore, which comprise a hostel for the medical college, a bridge reconstruction, and the redevelopment of government structures.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant presided over the 206th meeting of the GSIDC board.
Numerous significant infrastructure initiatives focused on public comfort, city revitalization, and institutional growth received approval in the meeting.
The initiatives consist of a new boys' hostel at Goa Medical College in Bambolim with an estimated expenditure of Rs 113 crore and the dismantling and rebuilding of a bridge in St Estevam village, North Goa, at a cost of Rs 21 crore.

The GSIDC has also authorized the redevelopment of the former bus station in Margao, South Goa, projected to cost Rs 12 crore, along with improvements to the municipal market in Sankhalim and the renovation of old government structures in Margao.
The Goa Government allocates funds in the State Budget for Share Capital/contribution to assist the company in fulfilling its financial needs
He highlighted that the GSIDC remains crucial in developing Goa's infrastructure with both quality and speed, and that the government is dedicated to providing timely and effective public infrastructure for Viksit Goa 2037.
Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (GSIDC) is a fully owned Government Company of the Goa Government, registered under the Companies Act of 1956 with the Registrar of Companies in Panaji-Goa.
