HCLTech has unveiled an autonomous finance platform aimed at revolutionizing core finance and accounting operations with the help of Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise AI stack.

The firm stated that the platform seeks to tackle the ongoing dependence on manual procedures in finance and accounting roles, even with substantial investments in ERP and SaaS solutions.

It mentioned that the updated solution aims to allow finance operations "to function with a significant level of independence and intelligence, while integrating effortlessly with current technology systems."

In contrast to conventional automation tools, the platform aims to "orchestrate finance processes from beginning to end independently – executing, learning, and continuously enhancing workflows throughout Invoice-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Record-to-Report."

HCLTech stated that the platform merges Google's Gemini Enterprise AI framework with its financial domain knowledge and engineering skills. It also utilizes Industry AI Solutions tailored for enterprise and sector-specific roles.

Clarifying the goal, Upjit Ghuman, HCLTech Executive Vice President and Global Head of BPO, stated, "ERP and SaaS platforms have digitized finance, but they haven't fundamentally altered how tasks are performed."
