IIM Bangalore to Open Campus in Indonesia
Marking a significant advancement in bilateral technological and educational relations, India and Indonesia on Tuesday concluded several pivotal agreements designed to empower the youth of both countries and enhance collaboration in advanced areas such as artificial intelligence and space exploration.
To solidify this evolving partnership, the two democracies declared the creation of a leading Indian management campus in the Southeast Asian archipelago to benefit the broader region.
During a joint press conference with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the common demographic benefits and technological collaboration characterizing the contemporary partnership, noting, "We will also exchange effective methods concerning sustainable agriculture and agro-technology."
Technology propels the 21st century. India and Indonesia are both countries full of youthful vigor, and our young people have an inherent skill for technology.
The advanced discussions resulted in practical frameworks aimed at harnessing this digital expertise, especially via institutional partnerships and collective public platforms.

Expanding on the strategic pacts made between New Delhi and Jakarta, Prime Minister Modi stated, "Today, we have finalized an important agreement to boost technological collaboration among our youth in fields like AI, telecommunications, and digital public infrastructure. We have also decided to enhance startup partnerships between our two countries. We will set up a campus of India's esteemed management institute, IIM Bangalore, in Indonesia; this will significantly advantage the youth throughout the entire ASEAN area."
