Kamal Haasan Becomes First Indian Celeb Owning a Digital Avatar in the Metaverse

Actor, Produccer, Director and Politician Dr.Kamal Haasan will be the first Indian celebrity to have his own digital avatar in the metaverse. Turning 67, Dr.Haasan arrived at the digital house with a set of collectables or NFTs (Non-fungible tokens) and plans for his yet to be established museum in the metaverse in the upcoming sport from Fantico.

Through Lotus Media Entertainment, Dr.Haasan partnered with Fantico, India's premium licensed digital collectables platform, which will be launching Dr.Haasan’s digital avatar, NFTs and other plans in the metaverse. Fantico is also said to be hosting a game-based metaverse which will be exclusively for Dr.Haasan alone.

In this world established for Dr.Haasan, fans all over the world will be given the power to interact with him, his digital avatar, buy memorabilia and souvenirs both digital and physical, meet and greet sessions and many others whilst exploring his world.

Entering the metaverse may be a first for the current era, nonetheless, Dr.Haasan and similar others are known for experimenting different genres in not just movies but even in the metaverse now.

"I'm enthusiastic to explore the growing convergence between the digital and physical worlds, which is now being dubbed the metaverse. The metaverse will most likely be provided for by my life's adventure of over six many years”, says Dr.Haasan

Also, a lot of followers appear to be pouring their cash on digital collectables, whereas, celebrities and public figures such as Mr.Amitabh Bacchan and Mr.Salman Khan, and then there are crickets and the Indian Tremendous League (ITL) have launched their own NFTs.

On the west, rapper Mr.Snoop Dogg stepped in the NFT metaverse through his digital mansion called The Sandbox in September this year.

It also appears that Fantico could be in talks to pool in more actors, sportspersons and similar others to be a part of the metaverse.

All around the NFTs that are based on blockchain-enabled expertise proving unique possession of digital content such as movies, pictures or audio and are changing the way followers have been purchasing collectables thus far.

As a matter of fact, Bollywood can be seen getting on with this new normal with a standing example of Amitabh Bacchan buying a set of NFTs weighing $ 966,000. Then there is Mr.Madushala’s assortment which turned out to be the biggest with the purchase of his father’s Harivanshrai Bachchan’s poem which is said to have received bids valuing more than Rs.5.5 crore.

Last month, Mr.Salman Khan got into the BollyCoin, a Bollywood NFT market, for his NFT collections. The corporate announced that it purchased one million tokens within the first three hours of the launch. In addition to all this, Mr.Khan even launched a short video app Chingari’s crypto tokens, $ Gari.

In light of the events Dr.Haasan expressed his delight saying, “we're looking forward to the debut of the game-based metaverse in the coming months," where Dr.Haasan could have his own universe, his own private museum.
