Kyndryl Crowns IBM's Lingraju Sawkar as its President of India Business

Lingraju Sawkar has been named President of Kyndryl's India business, the new public company that will be formed following the split of IBM's Managed Infrastructure Services division.

“Kyndryl will organize around our clients, ensuring that we have access to senior leadership as well as the greatest personnel and expertise in each market”, stated Martin Schroeter, Chief Executive Officer, Kyndryl.

“I am delighted that Lingraju will lead our team in India, which is a vital market and a source of innovation for Kyndryl. His excellent customer relationships and expertise of the services business will be crucial as we work with our clients to help them achieve their highest digital performance and goals”.

Lingraju was previously Director, IBM India/South Asia, Integrated Technology Services. He has also held the position of Director, IBM Asia Pacific Managed Services & Cloud.

Soon afterwards he worked as Vice President, Infrastructure Services, IBM Asia Pacific, where he was in charge of the company's P&L.

By working together, we will be able to handle our customers' most difficult difficulties and guide them through their transformation journeys", added Lingraju

Currently, Sawkar is the General Manager of IBM Global Technology Services for India/South Asia, India's top IT Infrastructure Managed Services Services Integrator.

Lingraju Sawkar has over twenty years of expertise in company management, global strategy, sales, and marketing in top leadership positions in India, ASEAN, and Growth Markets. Lingraju worked at IBM's Armonk headquarters as a strategy executive for growth markets. Lingraju has developed skills in the development and expansion of new business prospects. He brings a deep understanding of the services market as well as experience with service engagement in both large corporations and small and medium businesses.

Lingraju holds a bachelor's degree in engineering and a master's degree in management. He is a marathon runner who enjoys learning about cultural sensitivity.

Kyndryl also announced that it will combine managed services, advisory services, and implementation into a single global practice for customers. Cloud, Core Enterprise & zCloud, Applications, Data & AI, Digital Workplace, Security & Resiliency, and Network & Edge are the company's six global practices.
