To digitally transform and establish sustainable factories of the future, L&T Technology Services Ltd., an engineering services company, signed a pact with Microsoft to offer its ‘Energy & Sustainability Manager’ solution on Microsoft Azure.

As a part of the former’s expansion, this collaboration promises to nudge enterprises on the globe to strengthen its bleeding-edge manufacturing solution suite which is hosted on Azure enterprise cloud-first and mobile-first infrastructure.

Since it has now become more of a ‘have to do it’ situation rather than having to choose options to track and audit every type of energy consumption in achieving sustainable goals in smart factories. It’s now time for companies to carefully save up energy resources such as water, air, natural gas, electricity, and steam to not only enhance the energy map but comply with statutory regulations, save on energy cost, and achieve net-zero carbon emission.

As the engineering company’s chief operating officer, Abhishek Sinha believes that, “Energy conservation and long-term viability have become fundamental objectives of all significant digital transformation projects. In such conditions, it's critical for manufacturing businesses to accomplish environmental compliance and regulations, as well as to ensure that environmental goals are met across the board”.

LTTS' Energy & Sustainability Manager is a complete compliance and standard-driven solution that tracks energy losses throughout plants, with the purpose of reducing wastage and providing visibility into utilities and plant equipment in a sustainable manner.

Last year, the engineering firm revealed that it had expanded its collaboration with Microsoft Corporation and had introduced the latest and updated version of its state-of-the-art i-BEMSTM solution on Microsoft Azure to transform buildings into smart campuses that are ready for the future.

With the rise of digital transformation, there has been a definite push for businesses to redesign their offices to be more environmentally friendly, taking into account factors such as greenhouse gas and carbon emissions. Another key consideration for today's office and facility managers is to achieve balance in their buildings in order to protect the health, safety, and well-being of their employees.

The award-winning Intelligent Building Experience Management System i-BEMSTM from LTTS is a system-of-systems solution focused on digital experiences and intelligent space management. The cloud-based smart buildings/campus/spaces solution uses advanced IoT-based Edge Analytics and machine learning algorithms to monitor and manage building operations and optimize business metrics.

"LTTS' Energy & Sustainability Manager is a complete compliance and standard-driven solution that tracks energy losses throughout plants, with the purpose of reducing wastage and providing visibility into utilities and plant equipment in a sustainable manner. The system, which will be deployed on Azure, will be offered to end-customers as an IP-Cosell solution across a number of industries, according to LTTS.
