MP Cabinet Approves Implementation of Space Tech Policy 2026
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav led a cabinet meeting at the state secretariat in Bhopal on Tuesday, where the council of ministers approved several important decisions, including the SpaceTech Policy-2026.
CM Yadav and the ministers participated in the meeting with tablets as the e-cabinet was officially launched today. The ministers received tablets at the last cabinet meeting that took place on January 6.
As per an official announcement, the Cabinet sanctioned the execution of the Madhya Pradesh SpaceTech Policy-2026, taking into account the existence of 322 industrial parks, electronics manufacturing clusters, 31 GW power supply, outstanding educational institutions, and a supportive environment in the state, aimed at fostering space-grade manufacturing.
The policy will encourage advancements in satellite production, geospatial analysis, and related applications. In the upcoming five years, the policy is anticipated to draw in an investment of Rs 1,000 crore and create around 8,000 jobs, with a projected financial impact of Rs 628 crore.

The Cabinet has also given its approval for the execution of the Fourth Time Scale Scheme for Assistant Teachers, academic cadre Teachers, and Primary and Middle School Teachers in the new teaching cadre upon reaching 35 years of service on or after July 1, 2023. An approved sum of Rs 322.34 crore has been allocated for this purpose.
The council of ministers also sanctioned an estimated spending of Rs 3,660 crore for setting up 200 fully equipped Sandip Schools in the next phase. The proposed schools in this phase will accommodate over 1,000 students each.

The Cabinet also sanctioned more than Rs 898 crore for irrigation initiatives in the districts of Rajgarh and Raisen
In a significant ruling, the council of ministers approved a 50 percent reduction in motor vehicle tax for auto sales at the Gwalior Trade Fair-2026 and Ujjain Vikramotsav Trade Fair-2026.

The Cabinet also sanctioned more than Rs 898 crore for irrigation initiatives in the districts of Rajgarh and Raisen. Approval has been given for Rs 5,000 crore for three years (FY 2026-27 to 2028-29) for infrastructure development in all urban local bodies of the state under the "Chief Minister Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme - Phase V."
