Myntra Bolsters its Supply Chain Network with New Fulfillment Facilities

E-commerce fashion and apparel major Myntra has bolstered its supply chain network ahead of its October 3, 2021 festive sale with a fulfilment center in Kolkata, three mother hubs at Bilaspur, Chennai and Kolkata, 12 satellite hubs and 171 distribution centers to enhance storage capacity and optimize deliveries.

Received fresh from sellers across regions, these fulfillment centers are specialized facilities that process and package products which are then sent to 30 mother hubs with the addition of three mother hubs at Bilaspur, Chennai and Kolkata.

Eversince the e-commerce giant’s previous edition of Myntra’s Big Fashion Festival sale, the e-commerce giant has increased the number of its distribution centers to 1,330.

The latest fulfillment center in Kolkata spans about two square feet big enough to contain 45 lakh products and is said to have promised to create about 2,500 jobs. With its mature shopper base, it is believed to serve as a hub for the eastern region. This fulfillment center will hail as the fifth fulfillment center for the e-commerce giant which already has one in Bangalore, Bhiwandi, Bilaspur and Binola.

Mr.Nagaram says regarding the company’s supply chain network, “we are gearing up to give a rewarding festive shopping experience for our growing client base with the growth of our overall storage and processing facility”

On top of that, two among these fulfillment centers are solar enabled.

Also, it expects 1.1 million first time shoppers to shop at its festive sale that will be hosted next month from the 3rd to the 10th. Commenting on the upcoming event, its CEO Amar Nagaram says that the edition of the Big Fashion Festival is set to provide customers across the country with a never-before holiday shopping experience, with the largest assortment at the best value deals. We are thrilled to kick off the Christmas season with the Big Fashion Festival and make this year's holiday shopping the most memorable for our growing consumer base.

According to Myntra, the Big Fashion Festival will feature a range of 10 lakh pieces from 7,000 labels. Shoppers will find great deals on fashion, home decor, watches and wearables, jewellery, beauty and personal care, footwear, and gifting from well-known domestic and international brands.
