Nirmala Sitharaman to Present the Economic Survey 2025-26 Today
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Economic Survey 2025-26 in the Lok Sabha today. The Economic Survey report, created by the Economic Division of the Department of Economic Affairs within the Ministry of Finance and developed under the guidance of the chief economic adviser, offers insights into the economic condition and numerous indicators for 2025-26 (April-March), along with a forecast for the upcoming fiscal year.
Additionally, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol will present documents pertaining to the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (AERA). Moreover, a report assessing the operations of the AAERA of India, New Delhi, for the year 2024-25 will be submitted to the House.
According to the schedule, the House will initially address Question Hour, featuring questions that will be posed and responded to by the relevant Ministers. After this, members of the Union Council of Ministers will place documents on the Table.
Sitharaman is set to present documents related to the Ministry of Finance, while Murlidhar Mohol will present documents concerning the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

The Budget Session will span 30 sittings over 65 days, concluding on April 2, with a recess from February 13 to March 9 for scrutiny of Demands for Grants by Standing Committees

The House will also witness the presentation of the 13th Report of the Business Advisory Committee. The report will be presented by Kiren Rijiju and Kodikunnil Suresh, as listed in the agenda. Additionally, the Lok Sabha will take up Matters under Rule 377, a parliamentary provision that allows Members of Parliament to raise issues of urgent public importance.
