Onida Announces Top Leadership Changes

Onida Electronics Ltd has sanctioned a set of alterations to its top management, featuring the selection of Gunjan Srivastava as Chief Executive Officer and Additional Managing Director, starting July 4, 2026, pending shareholders' approval.

Since February 1, 2026, Srivastava has held the position of CEO at the company and will maintain that position while also assuming the role of Managing Director.

The board also sanctioned the appointment of Manish Desai as Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel effective July 4. He has also been designated as an Additional Director and Whole-time Director for a three-year period, pending approval from the shareholders.

In the restructuring, Kaval Mirchandani will transition from Managing Director to Whole-time Director effective July 4, while serving the remainder of his current term. The modification depends on the approval of the members.

The board expressed its gratitude for his contributions throughout his tenure.

The board has also designated Jayesh Gandhi as an Additional Independent Director for a consecutive five-year term starting July 4, pending shareholder approval. Gandhi is a Fellow Chartered Accountant boasting over forty years of expertise in audit, financial advisory, corporate governance, and consultancy services.

The company acknowledged the resignation of Shirish Suvagia as Whole-time Director and Chief Financial Officer, effective at the end of business on July 3.

The board expressed its gratitude for his contributions throughout his tenure. It additionally mentioned that Suvagia had verified there were no significant reasons for resigning apart from those mentioned in his resignation letter.
