PM Modi Hails Decade of Innovation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi commemorated a significant achievement as the Startup India Movement reached its tenth anniversary. On National Startup Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised all the participants involved in India's Startup sector.

On his social media account, he posted, "Today is significant as we celebrate ten years since the initiation of Startup India. This day focuses on honoring the bravery, innovative spirit, and entrepreneurial passion of our individuals, particularly our youth, who have fueled India's emergence in the worldwide Startup landscape.”

PM Modi addressed India's dedication to enhancing the startup ecosystem by collaborating with all relevant stakeholders.

Regarding the reforms, he remarked, "The Reform Express that India has initiated has established a highly favorable environment for StartUps to explore fields once deemed unimaginable, such as space, defense, and beyond."

He mentioned how Indian startups are aiding the success of Atmanirbhar Bharat as young Indians take risks and become innovators.

He also discussed the ecosystem, highlighting the importance of mentors, incubators, investors, academic institutions, and others that aid Startups.

"Their encouragement and perspectives significantly aid in motivating our young people as they create and contribute to progress," he remarked.

Startup India was initiated on 16 January 2016 by the Prime Minister as a transformative national initiative to foster innovation, support entrepreneurship and facilitate investment-driven growth, aiming to turn India into a nation of job creators instead of job seekers.

In the last ten years, it has become a fundamental element of India's economic and innovation framework. It has reinforced institutional frameworks, broadened access to funding and guidance, and cultivated a supportive atmosphere for startups to develop and expand across various sectors and regions.
