Samsung to Roll Out AI Driven Commands for Regional Languages

Samsung, a leading player in Appliances & Consumer Electronics, is rolling out artificial intelligence-driven commands for regional languages and features tailored to India to boost growth in the fiercely competitive domestic appliances sector, according to reports.

The Chaebol feels optimistic about the increase in the number of registered users of the SmartThings app in India, which is now ranked third worldwide.

The firm boasts around 23 million registered SmartThings users in India, placing the country third worldwide. The leading two nations are the US and Brazil. The quantity of registered devices is rapidly rising, with a global increase of 39 percent in 2024 compared to the year before.

SmartThings is Samsung's application for managing its IoT devices. It boasts around 390 million users worldwide.

Samsung anticipates that 70 percent of its sales in India will originate from AI-driven appliances; therefore, it is now integrating AI into its mid-range appliances as part of its detailed strategy.
