Volkswagen announced that it is in discussions with global technology firms about working together to develop new AI-powered digital prototypes for features and goods.

To create ideas for new products, the corporation has established a new "artificial intelligence lab." One potential avenue for collaboration is with technological companies in China, North America, and Europe.

Early-stage prototypes in areas like as speech recognition, predictive maintenance services, and AI-optimized charging cycles are to be produced.

Initial project discussions are already in progress with global tech companies.

However, brands will be given the opportunity to test and implement promising prototypes, and representatives from Volkswagen, Audi, and Porsche will sit on the lab's supervisory board.

Volkswagen revealed at CES 2024 that it will be integrating OpenAI's ChatGPT platform into its cars.

The goal of this integration is to let drivers have more interesting discussions, respond to their questions, get information related to their vehicles, and enjoy new features.

Volkswagen now claims that the AI Lab will find and organize fresh product concepts for the team.

AI Lab will collaborate closely with all of the brands and have a board of artificial intelligence specialists.

The company claims that this will also involve working with the tech companies in North America, Europe, and China as needed.

With this strategy, the Volkswagen Group hopes to maximize the creative potential and speed of the artificial intelligence industry by streamlining partnerships with innovative firms.

AI Lab will work as an incubator for the Volkswagen Group rather than producing production cars.

The company will search the globe for fresh product concepts related to artificial intelligence. When the necessity arises, AI Lab will collaborate with partners to develop extremely promising concepts to create early prototypes. AI Lab will collaborate closely with all of the brands and have a board of artificial intelligence specialists. Senior executives from each of the brand groups will comprise the Supervisory Board.
