HCLTech to Provide comprehensive IT services to Taylor Wimpey

Taylor Wimpey, a major residential developer in the UK, has selected HCLTech as its comprehensive IT services partner under a multi-year contract to enhance its digital transformation efforts.

HCLTech will collaborate to provide various technology services aimed at updating Taylor Wimpey’s IT infrastructure. This encompasses data and network services, cybersecurity, AI technologies, and applications and infrastructure administration. Workplace technology tools are included in the strategy as well.

Under the terms of the agreement, HCLTech will set up a specialized innovation lab to aid Taylor Wimpey in transitioning to a digital-first business model. The laboratory will serve to create and evaluate new technologies while speeding up the company's strategic technological objectives.

The home construction company plans to incorporate generative AI technologies, such as HCLTech’s AI Force, to optimize software development, boost quality assurance, and elevate customer and employee experiences. Automating infrastructure and user services is also anticipated to enhance operational efficiency.

The company also highlighted its AI offerings as a growth driver for the entire FY25

India’s third-largest IT services firm announced its fourth quarter results in April, reporting slightly lower-than-expected revenue for Q4FY25, with revenue from operations for Q4FY25 rising 1.2 percent QoQ and 6.1 percent YoY to Rs.30,246 crore, impacted by global macroeconomic uncertainties.

The company, however, showed confidence in; during the fourth quarter, HCLTech focused on obtaining exclusive contracts related to AI and generative AI, completing 12 new agreements, including those involving agentic AI and automation processes. The company also highlighted its AI offerings as a growth driver for the entire FY25.
