IT services company Tech Mahindra announced a strategic partnership with AI coding platform SpaceXSI to help global businesses modernise legacy applications, accelerate software development and improve developer productivity through artificial intelligence (AI).

Under the partnership, Tech Mahindra will combine its global engineering capabilities, enterprise transformation expertise and AI consulting services with SpaceXSI’s AI-driven development platform. The collaboration aims to help enterprises modernise applications, streamline software development processes and improve code quality across the software lifecycle.

The solution is designed for corporate environments, enabling organisations to adopt AI-native software development practices while maintaining essential governance, security and compliance standards. The partnership will focus on industries including technology, telecommunications, banking and financial services, manufacturing, healthcare and retail.

“Companies today are progressing past individual AI tests and aiming to integrate intelligence throughout the whole software development lifecycle to enhance productivity, speed up innovation, and achieve improved business results,” said Sumit Kumar Popli, President of Tech Mahindra’s Technology, Media and Entertainment (TME) business.

Through the partnership, Tech Mahindra aims to help customers implement AI-powered software engineering at scale while maintaining the governance, security and quality required for business-critical applications, Popli added.

The partnership reflects the growing interest among enterprises in integrating AI across software development rather than limiting its use to isolated projects

As part of the collaboration, Tech Mahindra will incorporate expertise in Grok Build into its engineering transformation and application modernisation services. The programming assistant, developed by SpaceXSI, is expected to support organisations in shortening development cycles, boosting developer productivity and accelerating the delivery of high-quality software.

The companies will also work together on market expansion strategies, customer engagement, industry-specific solutions and training programmes to encourage wider adoption of AI-enabled software engineering.

The partnership reflects the growing interest among enterprises in integrating AI across software development rather than limiting its use to isolated projects. By combining AI-powered coding capabilities with enterprise engineering services, Tech Mahindra and SpaceXSI aim to support businesses in improving development efficiency while meeting the operational requirements of large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
