Twin Health, the company behind the Whole-Body Digital Twin precision health technology, has raised $140 million in Series C funding (about Rs 1,000 crore). The funds will be used to help the company expand its operations in India and the US.

Sequoia Capital India, ICONIQ Growth, Perceptive Advisors, Corner Ventures, LTS Investments, Helena, and Sofina all participated in the round.

Twin Health, which was founded in 2018, leverages IoT, AI, and machine learning to treat chronic metabolic disorders including type 2 diabetes.

The clinical research team at Twin Health is conducting the world's first randomized controlled trial (RCT) for employing digital twin technology to reverse chronic metabolic disorders. Early RCT results were recently presented and published in the Diabetes journal of the American Diabetes Association, including first-of-its-kind health outcomes.

"Our Whole Body Digital Twin lives alongside you, providing you a window into your stunningly complicated biology, constantly learning about your metabolism, and informing you what you can do right now to better your health”, adds Jahangir

Its digital twin technology aims to portray each person's metabolic structure using this data. Its services are sold to self-insured businesses, health plans, and health systems.

Patients and their doctors can use the Whole Body Digital Twin to get nutrition, sleep, movement, and meditation breathing advice to safely reverse and avoid chronic metabolic disorders like type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and liver disease.

Twin Health is developing a game-changing healthcare solution. According to Jahangir, "After becoming aware of the global scale of chronic disease, I decided to make the Whole Body Digital Twin my life's work.
